IAS It is one of the highest services in India. To become an IAS officer, you have to pass the exam conducted by UPSC. UPSC is the one who conducts exam for IAS recruitment in India. So let's know about the criteria for IAS and the process of IAS paper.
What is the criteria for IAS?
1 Candidate should be from India, Nepal or Bhutan.
2 Graduation should be completed in any subject.
3 The age limit for general category candidates should be between 21 years to 32 years. And this category candidates can apply for IAS maximum 6 times.
4 The age limit for the candidates for SC or ST category is 21 years to 37 years. And there is no immediate limit for this category of candidates.
5 Other Backward Classes Candidate age limit of this category is from 21 years to 35 years. And candidates of this category can apply for the exam for a maximum of 9 times.
6 The age limit for Physically Disabled candidates is 21 years to 42 years. There is no maximum limit of 9 Aptemps for General Category and SC / ST Category and no Attempt Limit for OBC.
7 For J&K Domicile the age limit is 37 years in general category, 40 years for OBC, 42 years for SC / ST category and 50 years for Physically Disabled Candidate.

1 Preliminary Exam
The preliminary examination consists of two papers. The first is General Studies Question Paper 1 and General Studies Question Paper 2 which is also known as Civil Services Aptitude Test. General Studies Question Paper 1 consists of 100 questions and a total of 200 marks. It also has negative marking. Apart from this, the Civil Services Aptitude Test consists of 80 questions and 200 marks. They also have negative marking. You get 2 hours for each paper.
2 Main Exam
The main examination is conducted in the second phase. There are a total of 9 question papers in the main examination. Out of which 2 are for qualifying while the marks of 7 question papers are added to the final selection list. Out of these 7 question papers, 2 question papers are optional. आईएएस यह भारत की एक सर्वोच्च सेवाओं में से एक है। आईएएस अधिकारी बनने के लिए आपको यूपीएससी द्वारा कराए जाने वाले एग्जाम को पास कराने पड़ता है। यूपीएससी ही है जो भारत में आईएएस भर्ती के लिए एग्जाम कंडक्ट करती है। तो चलिए आईएएस के लिए क्या मापदंड और आईएएस के पेपर की प्रक्रिया के बारे में जानते हैं।
आईएएस के लिए मानदंड क्या है?
1 कैंडिडेट भारत, नेपाल या भूटान का होना चाहिए।
2 किसी भी सब्जेक्ट में ग्रेजुएशन पूरा होना चाहिए।
3 सामान्य श्रेणी के कैंडिडेट के लिए आयु सीमा 21 वर्ष से 32 वर्ष के बीच होनी चाहिए। और इस श्रेणी के कैंडिडेट अधिकतम 6 बार आईएएस के लिए अटेंप कर सकते हैं
4 एससी या एसटी श्रेणी के कैंडिडेट के लिए आयु सीमा 21 वर्ष से 37 वर्ष है। और इस श्रेणी के कैंडिडेट के लिए कोई भी अटेम्प्ट लिमिट नहीं है।
5 अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग इस श्रेणी के कैंडिडेट आयु सीमा 21 वर्ष से 35 वर्ष तक है। और इस श्रेणी के कैंडिडेट अधिकतम 9 बार परीक्षा के लिए अटेम्प्ट कर सकते हैं।
6 फिजिकली डिसेबल्ड कैंडिडेट के आयु सीमा 21 वर्ष से 42 वर्ष है। इसमें सामान्य श्रेणी और एससी/ एसटी श्रेणी के लिए अधिकतम 9 अटेम्प्ट और ओबीसी के लिए कोई अटेम्प्ट सीमा नहीं है।
7 जम्मू और कश्मीर डोमिसाइल के लिए सामान्य श्रेणी में आयु सीमा 37वर्ष, ओबीसी के लिए 40वर्ष एससी/एसटी श्रेणी के लिए 42 वर्ष और फिजिकली डिसेबल्ड कैंडिडेट के लिए आयु सीमा 50 वर्ष है।

1 प्रारंभिक परीक्षा
प्रारंभिक परीक्षा में दो पेपर होते हैं। पहला हैं सामान्य अध्ययन प्रश्न पत्र 1 और सामान्य अध्ययन प्रश्न पत्र 2 जिसे सिविल सर्विसेज एप्टीट्यूड टेस्ट भी कहते हैं। सामान्य अध्ययन प्रश्न पत्र 1 में कुल 100 प्रश्न होते हैं और कुल 200 अंक होते हैं। इसमें नेगेटिव मार्किंग भी होती है। इसके अलावा सिविल सर्विसेज एप्टीट्यूड टेस्ट में कुल 80 प्रश्न और 200 अंक होते हैं। इनमे भी नेगेटिव मार्किंग होती है। प्रत्येक पेपर के लिए आपको 2 घंटे मिलते हैं।
2 मैन परीक्षा
द्वितीय चरण में मुख्य परीक्षा आयोजित कराई जाती है। मुख्य परीक्षा में कुल 9 प्रश्न पत्र होते हैं। जिनके से 2 क्वालीफाइंग के लिए होते हैं जबकि 7 प्रश्न पत्र के अंको को अंतिम चयन सूची में जोड़ा जाता है। इन 7 प्रश्न पत्रों में से 2 प्रश्न पत्र ऑप्शनल होते हैं। चलिए अब इन पेपर्स के बारे में जानते हैं।
पेपर ए : अनिवार्य भारतीय भाषा - 300 अंक
पेपर बी : इंग्लिश - 300 अंक
पेपर 1 : निबंध - 250 अंक
पेपर 2 : सामान्य अध्ययन 1 - 250 अंक
पेपर 3 : सामान्य अध्ययन 2 - 250 अंक

3 इंटरव्यू
अंतिम चरण में उम्मीदवार का इंटरव्यू लिया जाता है। इसके बाद इंटरव्यू और सभी लिए गए परीक्षाओं के आधार पर मेरिट लिस्ट जारी की जाती है। जिसमे जिस उम्मीदवार को जितने अंक आए हैं और उनका रैंक दिया जाता है।
